Just a quick rant regarding recent news. I had a feeling of rage buzz through my entire body after reading this story about US aid workers in South Sudan and their being subject to being kidnapped, beaten and raped by an organized military unit. Maybe we are all lucky that I am not the President upon receiving word of such cowardly, evil actions. Yes, there’s an argument to be made, maybe, that they shouldn’t be there in the first place. But that is far besides the point. These women -and men- have traveled halfway across the world to help these folks with medical care, shelter and education. Likely, with no compensation or expectation of any?
If I were in charge, this would be my response: Get me some intelligence revealing the place these fuckers -or their comrades, doesn’t matter- lay their greasy little heads down to sleep so I might proceed to step two. Step two: Launch a couple B-1 Bones, or other appropriate weapon system, and just about oh-shit-thirty, drop a few 500 pound buster’s into their shit. A couple hours later, release a statement conveying a message as such: fuck with our people who are there strictly in a humanitarian sense and pray the next silent death from above doesn’t wakee-wakee you next time.
Keep it simple. Because if we don’t have an Air Force for this, why have one in 2016 at all?
I don’t know why this pisses me off so much? I don’t typically get so emotional, but damn.
